This is the discussion thread for Update #736

  • Changed weapons, perms, and entity menus to use model panels instead of spawn icons. (They should look better. | Added some text to /weapons menu to make it more clear as well.)
  • Changed heroin to not set you to 1 health after it wears off. (Need feedback here.)
  • Changed small drill model. (A lot smaller)
  • On arrest, warrants will expire a minute after.

Well, with the heroin disadvantage gone, the only thing you have to worry is an RNG factor.

Yet, the heroin is still not as strong as it was.

Really confused if that's the general consensus.

Wasn't everyone pissed about god mode heroin raids?

Seemed like a 60/40 split with pre-nerf heroin being more bad than good.

When you think about it, it's hard countering god mode. It's simply just "wait until he dies or RNG kills him."
And you can't body block them with heroin because you would be breaking the "can't body block with no way to move/kill them rule".

Now, heroin is not used as often (in my POV, but I could be wrong) because it's hard hacking/lockpicking something with knockback.
The damage resistance does give an advantage to raids, and with this new addition, you can take as much as you want until RNG kills you.

Pre-nerf heroin was a 85% "get past the killbox and do damage".

I really like the changes to heroin.

Just speaking in terms of game balance, invulnerability will always be OP and annoying. Of course it isn't annoying to the person using it, hence why a lot of people want it back. There aren't as many good base builders as there are raiders, so the majority of raiders want heroin to be OP, while the smaller minority of builders say it's a good balance change where it is.

I was not a fan of godmode heroin. If a hacker had a large group of SPTs behind him while using it, there was almost nothing you could do to prevent the raid.

The deployable keypad cracker fills the gap godmode heroin left. It actually has ways to stop it and there's an actual chance to defend.

Thanks for buffing heroin again. Maybe if more people start using it you can get more feedback and balance it better.

EDIT: Almost forgot one man killboxes were a great defense for heroin raiders. Can't really do that with mayor, though.
