This is the discussion thread for Update #892
  • Added levels to job titles.
  • Added Copshop NPC to Sharpshooter spawn.
  • Changed Copshop items and prices (Check thread)
  • Changed P90 recoil from 0.3 to 0.25
  • Hacking slot machines now has independent cooldowns.

So with the recent changes to the Copshop and P90 I figure I'd go over what was changed/added.

Mayor only items

At the moment there are some items that only the mayor can access, and some of these take away from current CP loadouts.
This is to encourage players who want these weapons on a whim to play CP and actually use their respective loadouts.

• D.Eagle added for Mayor
• AWP added for Mayor
• Heavy Armor added for Mayor
• XM1014 (Auto Shotgun) changed to Mayor Only
• M249 Para changed to Mayor Only
• P90 changed to Mayor Only


(Heavy armor may be removed since it contradicts the need for a BMD, but since he owns the nexus I think it's fair.)



Weapon additions / Prices

@Grant has already made up an image consisting of price changes and weapon names.

What is not listed is the Galil still being in the copshop, and will continue to stay.

P90 damage looks like it is way too reduced compared to the recoil and fire rate increases...

so I live tested with P90, AK, Galil, and Para, crouching and shooting at the gun dealer target, landing as much shots as possible in the middle.

AK: 1000
Para: 2700
Galil: 1000
P90: 400

Thats on a non-moving target. Imagine a moving target.

I recommend buffing dmg to 7-10

The gun dealer target damages are inaccurate. You must test damages on a human.

Max amount of damage a p90 can do is 650. Thats 13 damage a headshot. This is way to low and it's gonna be very hard even with rework for it. As grant said I feel like doubling the damage or making the firespeed even faster is the way to go.

So due to a bug with server time and rate of fire, the P90 was reverted back to it's original speed and damage. But the recoil will remain the same.

Pretty sure it's because of CurTime ( https://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Global/CurTime ).

It becomes inaccurate, most timed things are based off of it, and shit starts to go weird. It's either that or the server's restarted every 6 hours which nobody wants. The fact we somehow last to about 70 hours is weird.

Apparently I made mayor only able to purchase items that only he has access too. Whoops, I fixed that today.

Also since I realized there's a rule against demoting people for changing job titles as Chief/CP I'm temporarily turning off the command until we look at the rule again.

Para was removed from the CP store, but I thought that was supposed to be paired with them having access to it in a loadout. Can it be given back to their store until their genomes are changed?

Yea.

I would only want to restrict Para if Para was a genome reward, which in my suggestion thread that started this, was 20 Attack.
Otherwise, cops would just get fucked over.

So atleast hold off on the restriction of Para and Deagle until they become genome rewards.

Yes. Any change involving the Deagle from this update involves only the CP jobs.
