This is the discussion thread for Update #899

  • Added nexus vault (Thanks AngryPygmy | Available on restart.).
  • Can no longer globally mute staff owned radios.
  • Can no longer get skeleton model from MK as CP.
  • Ironsighting pistols uses 357 equip animation.

Because staff don't need to be globally muting other staff radios.

Local mute is what players can do to mute individual radios.
Global mute is what staff can use to turn off radios all together on a specific radio.

In regards to the Nexus Vault:

The Nexus Vault is a new entity you will find in the room right of the mayor's office, where the old broadcasting screen used to be. Overtime, this vault is filled with cash through various player actions- when people sell to the buyer, when people buy doors, when people buy from the CP store and when people buy food.

Raiders, using lockpicks, can then begin to break up the vault, which will also autowant them instantly regardless of there being any cops nearby. This process is only allowed when there are four (4) or more players playing Police jobs. It will take four successful lockpicks to break open the vault. Once the vault's been completely opened, it will drop Vault Bags. These bags hold a specific share of the accumulated wealth from the vault, and can be pocketed and are compatable with /pickup. These bags will then have to be delivered to the drop-off destination to be claimed, which is randomized. You'll have to find the location using the arrow at the top of your screen and the distance meter. Changes and tweaks to this are likely to follow with time.

Rules relating to the Nexus Vault:
  • Vault bags/money bags are default illegal.
  • The mayor/chief can build defenses for the vault/vault room, but nothing too crazy. Keep it linear and in line with everything else the chief can build normally for defenses. The mayor should not be basing in the vault room, nor should it be blocked off in any way.
  • Whether or not raiders can raid the nexus during grace for the sake of the vault (and not for the mayor) is currently undecided. For now, I recommend not doing so until an official ruling can be agreed upon.

The nexus vault is now live.

Confiscating items should work now.

It'll also update it's model on how much money is inside, still subject to changes with that though.

Should note that there isn't a waypoint right now for the vault drop-off, only a distance meter at the top of your screen. You can probably expect a waypoint in the future but for now have a little fun with it.

The only two known drop-off points that I'm aware of are civspawn and SPT spawn.

Yeah, it could use some more work and we'll probably add more to it.

So far I've moved it's position to the helicopter pad room and increased the amount of stages depending on how much money is inside.

$1000 or Less
5 Minute cooldown
2 Stages

$1000 - $10000
7 Minute cooldown
3 Stages

$10000 - $25000
10 Minute cooldown
4 Stages

$25000 - $100k
75 Lockout timer (How long it takes before locking out if you don't lockpick it.)
5 Stages

$100k+
90 Lockout timer
6 Stages

I think there needs to be an automatic alert to all police forces that there is non CP activity in the vault room. So far I have not even realised it is being raided until I see that X amount has been robbed. 
Liking it so far though.

A lockdown should automatically trigger (separate from the cooldown) when it's lockpicked by anyone that isn't a professional thief.

Why not also add all the money bj takes? 

to the vault. 

There's gon' be some stuff you gon' see that's gon' make it hard to smile in the future. But through whatever you see, through all the rain and the pain, you gotta keep your sense of humor. You gotta be able to smile through all this bullshit.

I kind of like this idea but I think a good compromise would be 50% of blackjack losses go to the vault and 50% go to the jackpot.
